Lixomarinho.pt - Online platform for observation and mapping of marine litter on the Portuguese coast
Scientific support to the development of contents for the online platform and support to dissemination activities.

PROJECT GOAL The lixomarinho.app platform is a citizen-science project developed by researchers from MARE - Center for Marine and Environmental Sciences - University of Coimbra in partnership with APLM - Portuguese Marine Litter Association. The project was born out of the need to produce statistical data and also as a means of raising awareness about a common problem in our beaches - marine litter.
